Even though this is a forum for ABC and DON, this site still have a related part for anime so how about post here recommendation for people who wants to watch other types of anime.

Well its up to you how will you post recommendation as long as you think its recommendable.

surprised that no one actually suggest Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (not the 2009 version) and Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu.

Angel Beats
Kowarekake no Orgol (prepare a shitload of tissue, very tearjerking.)
Darker Than Black & DTB: Ryuusei No Gemini (ryuusei no gemini ending song is damn epic, hearing it very often 'till now, oh and epic action anime)

SHNY is epic for its characters, the plot itself isn't that great compared to the novel.(my opinion)

SS2 killed me for 2 f*cking summer months. Animation is too K-On!-ish that it makes me sick (it so not suit our goddess)

well, SHNY is good, SHNS is pretty fuckin good, both character development and plot. very mind twisting.

By the way, the movie "The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi" was the longest and best movie ever. No one can beat this movie, anime or non-anime, in my opinion. Best movie ever!!!

welcome to the club fellow haruhi-ist. wouldn't recommend watch ShnY 2009 Renewal, srysly.

Seriously I as the one who started this thread just watching what will you guys post and what I see is more like favorites. No offense cause my favorite list of anime were a bit short than it appears to be. If I what I remember is right, I only have 40/200+ anime so far.

Why I said this? NO ONE POSTED ANIME LIKE HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI, and SCHOOL DAYS (both are personal favorites.) Which are recommendable to all.

And i intended to put the NOT there. Normal ppl without much consideration or knowledge of Haruism might not find it easy to understand/watch.

Well Haruhism can be contagious but I agree that recommending the season 2 of Haruhi is a plain joke cause endless eight. Seriously that at least should be only 2-3 ep would be fine even repetitive for the story but EIGHT for 12-13 ep is a big FAIL.

Try read the actual novel dood. 8 eps are nothing compared to THAT.

haha I doubt that I can continue reading if I notice that the events repeated at least 4 times.

school days,huh.... been a long time since i watched that... and what's great about it!!?? My 'friend' almost fell when watching that anime and it's true that it IS a pretty realistic anime but higarushi no naku koro ni is the BEST OUT THERE!!! EPIC HORROR PSYCHOLOGICAL ANIME!!!!

Well the fact that School Days is realistic and UNIQUE to school life anime is the same reason why I favorite. And it is one of the anime that made me like anime more.

About Higurashi, unfortunately it is not the best psychological anime anymore even it is pretty awesome. The new anime "Steins;Gate" can match up with its crazy impact( the same with ChaOS;HEAD). But I still prefer Higurashi over Steins;Gate.
