Synopsis
Keima Katsuragi, a second-year high school student, is an avid dating sim gamer. He is known on the Internet as "The Capturing God" for his legendary skills to be able to "capture" any 2D girl in games. However, in his actual school life, Keima is known as otamegane, a derogatory portmanteau of the two words otaku (オタク) and megane (メガネ-"glasses").

At the start of the series, Keima receives an e-mail offering him a contract to "capture" girls. He accepts what is thought to be a challenge, and a demon from Hell nicknamed Elsie appears. She asks for his cooperation to help her in catching the runaway spirits. These spirits hide themselves inside the girl's heart, and Elsie suggests that the only method to force the spirits out is by "capturing" their hearts—making them fall in love. Appalled by the idea, Keima refuses after clarifying to Elsie that he is only interested in "capturing" 2D girls and that he detests reality. Nevertheless, with the contract already accepted, Keima would have to help Elsie no matter what; if they fail, both Elsie and Keima would lose their heads.

So ok, discussion thread for TWGoK. This anime interests me, as the protagonist is somewhat similar to me (Ignoring IRL stuffs and paying attention only to games, online games in my case). I loved the Kanon Nakagawa arc, she's so cuuuute <3 :oops: I finished the series within a day, and I'm planning to continue season 2 now.

Oh, I don't really read much manga's since I get sleepy whenever I try reading D: But I might as well try to read TWGoK's manga because I really liked that anime :3 Anyways, where can I read it?

The manga is 10x greater than the anime. Sounds sarcastic but its the truth. The same with Hayate no Gotoku.

The only series with anime>manga i know is Doraemon. And some part of Sora no Otoshimono.

Anime has lots of fail animations, Elsie is much taller than expected + less cute. Haqua is a bit off, Keima's voice actor isn't really good (expected something else than that)...

Yeah right, such events can't happen in Vietnam due to many reasons -> Game quotes and lines will never be effective.

In manga,He didn't became serious in the latest arc in anime.I'm talking about the Goddesses arc.

I agree...Haqua's body isn't flat (LOL)....But,I think Keima's voice actor suits his role though.

Elsie and Haqua looks too old (well, techniquely they are but that's beside the point, we all know they look much cuter + younger in manga), their face too long in close-up scenes.

Expected someone with godlike voice to be Keima's voice actor. We all feel a thing or two when Haruhi's heavenly voice litterally bang our heads.

Actually, my first impression on the anime is...

WTH is wrong with Keima's Voice!? and ELSIE!? :O
She could have been much cuter. Although I got used with their voices at around episode 3.

I have a tough time deciding my favorite between Tenri and Shiori. ps. Goddess arc is awesome, have yet to catch up on the reading :P
