1. Prologue

During the middle of the night is when people least expect others to bother them. Usually, this is also the time where most people would be sound asleep, but not in this house, no.

My name is Raito; Raito Redemutio to be exact. I’m 26. After years of hard work and early retirement, I was finally able to build (raze and rebuild) a mansion to my ex-girlfriend’s likings. It was all she has been complaining about for awhile. Unfortunately, our relationship ended soon after that, for whatever reasons I would not like to repeat.

In this mansion, there are originally two maids who my ex hired. She had these strange requirements: they must either be not cute or lesbians.

In the end, I ended up having two extremely cute lesbian maids. One is a retired and on-the-run Russian spy who knows no housework but sweeping. The other one used to be a cook in some old Japanese’s ramen shop. I myself have this information from the start, but my ex’s welcoming attitude for them had never pushed me to check their profiles. But it didn’t matter.

They are great maids around the house, as far as concerning for one depressed man goes. The only thing is, they are lesbians, and they make love to each other so much that I don’t even need to keep porn around to get aroused. I don’t know whether I’m blessed or cursed, but I do enjoy it.

The Russian spy is named Chikado Putina, and I don’t want to know where the name came from. She is a resourceful person with a little of a bad temper. She can’t do housework, but she knows karate, can drive helicopters, shoot bullets, jump parachutes and hack into every kind of super computers; normal for a girl with her history I suppose. Her one and only weakness is not the fear of death, no, rather death would be scared of her, but my other maid – Rinai.

Rinai Hokura is a cook, or used to be. She was an orphan, who was picked up and raised by a chef at the said ramen shop. She is the definition of kindness and shyness in a woman. She is obviously great at cooking, but also at every other house works. Come to think of it, she is almost opposite in every aspect to Chikado, yet they get along so very well. I’ve also been wondering about that for a while, but let’s put it aside for now.

I would be lying if I said they’re not really dating. They make out twelve hours a day, seven day a week. At least they do respect me as their employer, somewhat. If I recall correctly, some time a week ago Chikado asked me to help her with something, and made me promised it. I did, but I forgot what it was that she wanted me to do.

About a 2 months after it was built, our home has begin picking up new residents, 4 to be precise, all of which were my old friends. They all live in the 3rd floor and share the same rule we do: breakfast at 8, lunch at 12, dinner at 7, no running in the halls, and the kitchen after 10 is off limits to them, since
that is around the time my maids start making love.

One of the new residents is a mental therapist, named Taiyo Sui. He, in all aspects, isn’t doctor-like at all, or at least he doesn’t act that way when he’s at home. He is a hentai maniac and the self-proclaimed “Guidance”. Though admittedly he is a good friend who helped me through tough times; I cannot trust him fully. He helped me in an arrest matter with one of our old acquaintances, Kyouiku Ayen, thus Chikado showed her appreciation by making him Aigis, his very own personal android maid with an actual intelligence.

The second guy is Hiraki Gensei, a German ambassador. He was once proven to be clinically insane, but his skills and trust-worthiness put him over the top. He has extreme connections to the very inside of the German government, having large military power under his command. Usually, at home, he’s just a quiet guy that likes to read books and watches anime, mostly given to him by Taiyo. He does have this “thing”, but it didn’t matter that much.

The last, but definitely not least, is Shiroi Barairo. As strange as the name goes, it explains him exactly. He is an unemployed worker, with a strange obsession to the color pink. I always try to not think about it, but it pains me a little every time I pass by his room, seeing his pink curtains, I don’t really know why. Other than that he’s normal enough. Usually inside his room playing games or listening to music, all that normal stuff.

In the end that left me. I, as the master of the mansion as I’d like to call myself, am a self-employed social researcher, though I don’t work much anyway. Honestly speaking, since I already retired, I basically am a free man with a whole lot of money working his way around life. It’s a pretty sweet deal, minus the heartbreak, the constant bickering, the self depression and all the harsh money management. However, my struggling had just begun.

2. Returning the favor

It was a nice morning, like usual. I woke up with a living alarm clock, namely Rinai. As a maid, even though I have never asked for it, she always turns up early to wake me in the morning. Truthfully I don’t know because she’s naturally up early or I just sleep in way too late. I never used to, before I bought this place, though.

That day was just the same. Rinai was standing next to my bed with a cheerful smile on her face. Seeing her that happy, I couldn’t help but smile as well.

“Good morning Raito-sama. Did you sleep well last night?”

“Morning Rinai-chan. Thank you, I guess I did. What time
is it?”

“Around 7 a.m., Raito-sama. I do believe today I woke you up a little bit earlier than normal. Usually Chikado-san would never let me leave, but recently she’s been different. I woke up alone these few mornings.” Saying that, biting her own lips a little, Rinai’s head was down. It seemed she was feeling nervous.

“Have you seen her again since you’ve woken up?” As exhausted as I am, I couldn’t help but notice her discomfort. Also, I thought it was my duty to care.

“I saw her in the halls, but she seemed to be ignoring me.”

“That could be a problem. Don’t worry about it though Rinai-chan, I’m sure it’s just something she would like to keep for herself. I’ll try talking to her to find out, alright?”

“Thank you Raito-sama. I will be in the kitchen. Please make sure everyone’s there on time.”

With that being said, Rinai had already headed out of the room. Normally she would hang on a little more until Chikado eagerly pulls her downstairs, but I guess not today. Strangely, not so long after she left, Chikado showed up at my doorstep after I finished changing.

Raito-sama, I have something to ask you. A favor, I suppose.” Chikado had never been this submissive during our entire employment. She is also quite serious too. That behavior might not be too weird, but it was certainly rare.

“What is it Chikado-chan? You look oddly focused today. Let me guess, it is either about you wanting to shoot someone, or it is about Rinai.” Making such a joke, I didn’t know how right my guess was.

“Actually it is. Raito-sama, I have something I want from you. I know that you might not approve of this so willingly. Last week, you already promised you would do anything to help me strengthen my relationship with Rinai-chan, right?”

“Erm… I think I might have said something like that.” It was coming back to me. Late that noon during the party preparations, I did promise Chikado something like that for helping rescue me.

“I need your wedding rings.” She spoke out blatantly.

“My wedding rings…? Why?” That response truly shocked me.

“I haven’t said this to anyone, but I’m going to ask Rinai-chan to marry me, soon. I want you to be the one who marry us, since you have the social knowledge and status to do so without need for further notice. And, I remember how envious Rinai-chan was when we saw the rings you showed to Mona-sama. She loved it. Since you probably won’t be having your planned wedding, I figured that it would be ok for you to give it to us, as wedding gifts.”

“I see.” What I felt right then was not the urge to keep my jewelries, but the fact that the girl I bought them for has left me. It was quite the dark period in my life, and shivers ran down my spine every time I remember the painful experience. “I guess I would be able to help.”

I do think it was the time to let the past go. Since my marriage didn’t work out, I suppose it’s not going to hurt to give this pair of rings I’ve been keeping in my drawer to those important to me, especially as wedding gifts. I handed them over to Chikado. She took it with an extremely wide smile, like saying “that’s better”. I never thought I’d be able to see her smile like that. It relieved my longing for the past a little. I’m glad I was able to put a smile on her face, and probably Rinai’s too once she sees the rings.

Chikado happily left the room; as I watch her go, feeling fulfilled. Why not? I’ve helped two people today, just a morning’s work. Normally these things would never concern me, but feeling needed is a lot better than feeling nothing.

3. Valiant Efforts

I guess I did forget to mention something, Taiyo might not be the most decent guy out there, but he has been doing a pretty good job raising Aigis. As most people don’t know, Aigis has an actual intelligence that is able to be developed through contact with external information. She is like a growing girl that was put into Taiyo’s care.

But other than that, she is nothing like a baby. With a body of a fully blossoming teenager, I can’t really understand how Taiyo could hold himself back; maybe it is the feeling of responsibility. What I know is what I know, and I know Taiyo loves her. And who am I to judge them? I might be a social worker and supposed to “help” him; but he already had all that he needs. Also Aigis, as a robot, has incredible super-human capabilities. She herself remodeled the entire third floor into bedrooms for Taiyo, Hiraki and Shiroi. I guess Chikado did think of everything when she built her. Well… maybe not everything.

Taiyo-kun; how’s the progress?” I just dropped by Taiyo’s room, to tell him that breakfast is coming up.

“I’m working on it! Aigis-chan, just…lower your head a little, and back up, there.” He’s trying to teach Aigis something, that I would never have known what. He seemed pretty into it, while Aigis was confused on what kind of expression to make about this.

“Yoh, guys! Sup, how’re your mornings?” That was Shiroi, the guy who’s coming out from behind his pink curtains. Sure, he’s normal in his own way, but I and Taiyo still couldn’t grow accustomed to his style of living.

Shiroi, nice timing! Breakfast is coming up soon, check on Hiraki-kun for me.”

“No need to do that, I’m already up.” Hiraki had come out of his room. He looked lifeless as usual, though he is kind of crazy, normally he doesn’t act that way. He’s more like crazily sane than insanely crazy, which are hard to tell apart from for most people.

“Oh that’s great. Rinai-chan is in the kitchen making breakfast. I do smell bacon and eggs. Get your butts down there in 20 minutes or kiss your morning meal goodbye.” I say that distractedly, though my attention was still on Taiyo and Aigis.

“Alright, you don’t have to try so hard Aigis, you’ll get it later.” Taiyo seemed hopelessly exhausted. I didn’t know what he’s been trying to do, but it’s certainly not working so well. “Go down stairs and pick my dry cleanings for me, please.”

I followed Aigis downwards when I saw Chikado sneaking about. I hid myself above the swirling stairs and overheard their conversation.

“What is it that you want me to do, Chikado-sama?” Though she was Taiyo’s personal maid, Chikado was still Aigis’ creator, so she stays formal. Actually, they were still in a servant – master relationship.

“Well an errand, at least.”

“Pardon my wondering Chikado-sama, but why do you look so restless?”

“I haven’t had a well-tuned sleep for days, but that’s certainly beside the point. Aigis-chan, I need you to keep Raito-sama and the other guys occupied, away preferably, for a few days.”

“Where do you want them?”

“I don’t know… an island in the middle of the ocean or something. Just be sure to stay with them and don’t let them die, that’s about it for orders.”

I got it now. Chikado wanted to be alone with Rinai for a few days so she can work out a proposal. Honestly speaking, one might not notice it, but Chikado is especially nervous when it comes to Rinai. Normally she kicks ass and makes weapons; but whenever her girlfriend is sad, she goes head over heels to try and comfort her, which sometimes ends up in funny messes that I have to clean up in the end. However I never did mind, since if those things didn’t happen, it would be really boring around here.

“If you are going to get me out of the way, at least let me hear it.” I came from the stairs saying that. I didn’t mean to surprise anyone. I just thought if I didn’t say this now, Aigis was going to take everyone, including me, to some island in the Pacific really soon.

Raito-sama!” Chikado seemed surprise. Has her sense of security gotten that low?

“I won’t disapprove of this. However, since you are showing her my rings, can you at least give me a… earphone or something?” Hearing that, Chikado threw me a small microphone. I know it wasn’t going to be long before Aigis follow her orders, so I take a look at the house one last time before I leave. I did a pretty good job here, if I could say so myself. I rechecked my room to make sure everything locked stayed locked, and then quickly came down the stairs to see the guys going for breakfast. “Seem like none of us is going to get morning nutrition today.”

4. A kiss on her ring finger

It’s been 13 hours since I was taken here, on some deserted island in the middle of nowhere. At least Aigis did leave us food, but why did she choose to leave each of us on a different island was totally bizarre. I was bored, so I had the communication device Chikado gave me all this time. After being taken away for a few minutes, I hear a loud *thud* and then a stop of all movements. I figured Chikado must have fainted out of exhaustion. She was always pushing her health. I don’t know whether she’d learn her lesson now that she actually collapsed, I doubted that would be my attention. Now, after waiting for more than half a day, I finally hear other noises.

Chikado-san, are you awake?” It was clearly Rinai’s voice. Apparently she had been next to Chikado this whole time, since I did hear little rustling sounds around occasionally.

Rinai-chan? How did I get here on the bed?” Seems like Chikado has just woken up, that would explain the lack of actions.

“How do you feel right now?”

“Tired, I guess.”

“I found you passed out in the halls on the 2nd floor Chikado-san. You are working too hard and missing way too much sleep, I think it’s starting to become a bad habit on your health. You know how I feel about you neglecting your own personal strength.”

“Oh come on Rinai-chan, it’s something I have to do fast and focused.”

“Am I supposed to ask what it is about?”

“I will tell you soon enough. However, Rinai-chan, I need your family’s phone number so I can contact them about this “upcoming event” I’ve been preparing for.”

Chikado-san…” Rinai’s voice suddenly brought a bitter air into the conversation.

“What is it Rinai?” Chikado sensed something wrong, but wasn’t resourceful enough to know about it.

“I am an orphan, Chikado-san. Right after my orphanage got destroyed in a fail experiment, I was left alone. A chef took me in as his daughter and raised me. Even though I didn’t get much education, I did get to learn how to do house work and cook from him. I was a help in his ramen shop, up until recently. A year ago, my adopted father died of a heart attack. I had to sell the shop since I wasn’t good enough to handle it, and drifted all the way until I heard Mona-sama was recruiting maids. I was desperate at the time, so despite the “lesbian” requirements, I joined anyway. Turns out I really am a lesbian, strange right?” Rinai spoke of her story shockingly proud and informative. Chikado didn’t respond in a while, and I am surprised as well. Up until this point I have never bothered to read the two maids’ application since my ex already checked them.

“I’m sorry Rinai-chan; that was so insensitive of me.”

“Don’t hold yourself on it Chikado-san; I know you only wanted to be sweet to me. I, of all people, know that you are a very sweet woman, that’s why I’m your girlfriend. What about your family Chikado-san? I know you were a spy, but you never mentioned anything about relatives.”

“I’m not sure myself. Ever since I was little, I’ve been training my heart out. Most likely I’ve been picked up by the spy agency from some poor couple’s arms. Admittedly I always want my birth parents to be alive, but I guess that’s not happening.”

“I see.”

Eves dropping every word, I feel like my shirt is already soaked in sweat. I never knew my maids had such uneasy pasts. I actually realize why they wanted to be someone’s maids. I must admit I do feel sorry, but seeing how happy they are right now, who is it to say that the life they currently have was not good for them.

“Why were you avoiding me during the last couple of days, Chikado-san?” Rinai say with quite a pouching voice. She has been caring for Chikado all this time, so it’s normal for her to feel a little bit upset on not knowing.

“I did it to prepare the “special occasion” in secrets. But now that you know I do this, it probably won’t be special or secret anymore.”

“Special? Secret? Occasion? What do you mean?”

Rinai, I know you’re not that oblivious, don’t tell me you really didn’t notice?”

“Notice what?”

“I guess I couldn’t wait anymore then, since I’ve already come this far.” I hear pockets opening. From the other side of the globe, I knew exactly what Chikado was trying to do.

5. I do!

Rinai Hokura-chan, will you marry me?”

I can practically see Chikado showing Rinai the box, and the expression of amazement and fulfillment that is probably on her face right now.

“Yes, a thousand time yes!”

Though I already saw it coming, only until Rinai said “yes” did I truly feel relieved. I guess over time, these two maids have really become important to me, and I truly am happy just to see them happy.

It is not long until Aigis was called by Chikado, informing our return to the mansion, though I do believe leaving each of us on a separate remote island is unnecessary.

About 5 hours later, I arrived home. Chikado, Rinai and the others are already there. Rinai’s eyes still hold her tears of joy, and it did make me feel happy.

“Welcome back Raito-sama.” Said Rinai with an unusually cheerful smile, which is perfectly explainable. She’s engaged now, and the wedding will probably come fast.

“It feels good to be home, and how is the wedding plan?” I supposed everyone else has been informed, so I just went ahead and say it. Rinai blushes a little, but not Chikado.

“About 2 days from now, Raito-sama. I want to set it up right on the mansion’s ground, if you’ll allow it, though I doubt you won’t.” Chikado said with such a devious face.

“Well, there really is no reason for me to disapprove. But do I have to do anything?”

“Why of course! You are marrying us, don’t you remember?”…

Yeah, that was how it happened. The next 2 days pass by so fast. Every time I look out the window, I see Chikado and Aigis busy at work preparing the settings. Rinai is asked to sit aside and let them do all the work. The other guys are asked to help too but I guess they somehow got away from that. Anyways, now that it’s only a few minutes until the wedding begins, I have to ready myself. This priest suit is unnecessary big, but at least I sort of remembered all my lines….

“I believe it is now time for you to exchange wedding vows.” I say. Chikado nodded, meaning she wants to do it first. I would go with that too, since she had more time.

“I might not have too much to say, but I’ll go ahead and say it anyway. I was, and still am, a wanted Russian renegade spy. I was used, hated and chased by those around me ever since I was very young, that was why I ran away. Rinai Hokura, you are the first and only woman who I love and desire. You came into my life when I have no job, a place to go or someone to call family. You are my guardian angel. Being married to you today, I am truly the luckiest person in the world.” That was truly not much to say. Though I didn’t expect a long elaborate speech, I didn’t expect this either. Maybe she really just wants to get this over with and started on whatever’s coming next.

“I will keep my vow short as well. I was an orphan, raised as a help, with little to no education. However, I know how to be a proper girl; I know who I wanted to be. Chikado-san, you changed me. I never would have thought I could find happiness within my reach, if it weren’t for you and Raito-sama. You are a sweet, caring and kind person Chikado san, and I love you just as you love me. I promise to always uphold my part of the marriage, to always treat you kindly in return, and to care for you wherever you are ill, and whoever you might become.” That was shorter than what I expected as well. I guess only Rinai can call Chikado a sweet, caring and kind woman, but I didn’t feel like ruining it for them. What I need to do now is to finish my job.

Chikado, do you take Rinai as your lovely wedded wife? To always care, love and share with her for the rest of your life, through thick and thin, until death separates you two?”

“I do.”

Rinai, do you take Chikado as your lovely wedded wife? To always care, love and share with her for the rest of your life, through thick and thin, until death separates you two?”

“I do.”

“Then by the power invested in me, I pronounce you two, married. You may now kiss the brides!”

As I would expect, Chikado quickly lifts Rinai off her feet and starts kissing her passionately. Honestly speaking, despite expecting them to be bold, I, being the lonely priest on the stand; can’t really help but feel a little sad.

I am happy and jealous at the same time.

6. A new experience
As you might have guessed, now that Chikado and Rinai have gotten married, they went together on a happy honeymoon, which might very well be the best experience they ever had.

Of course that doesn’t go the same for the folks back home.

“Yes?” I blatantly pick up the phone and put it to my ear.

Raito-sama, I have a favor to ask of you. Remember, this is still my and Chikado’s honeymoon, so yo-“. From the moment I heard the voice, I know it is Chikado wanting something from me, why else would she be calling?

“Yes, I must uphold my promise to help you in any way possible. What is this you need this time?” Reluctantly answered, I can’t help but feel used.

“We need to borrow your credit card.”

“You have better not bought an island.”

“No we didn’t, we’re just going on a private cruise.” Chikado seems happy enough. I don’t feel like arguing anyways. “Here’s the thing. I accidentally ran out of credits, so I kind of need yours to pay for the trip. May I ask from the goodness of your heart, that if you give me the money, I would not have to *%$#@ you.”

“I understand…” I regrettably answer. I would have given her my money anyways even without her threatening to *%$#@ me. “You know what my numbers are, just do it.”

“Thank you Raito-sama, I really appreciate it.” This time it is Rinai speaking. She is being nice about it, unlike Chikado the Ungrateful. Oh well, a promise is a promise.

“Everything’s done now, Rinai. Come on, get on with the eating! I’m sure to let you taste it tonight.”
Chikado’s shouting got into the phone. I realized I don’t want to continue this conversation any longer, for both party’s sake. There’s only one thing left I wanted to ask.

“What is Aigis-chan’s role in your vacation, Chikado?”

“Oh, she’s driving the boat! Now good bye Raito-sama, we still have a lot to do!”

The maids are having a blast somewhere in the Kawaii islands, while we, meaning me and the guys, are having a rough time back home.
These past 2 days, Hiraki was nice enough to do the cooking. However, it was obvious that there was no way that his skills could ever be as good as Rinai’s. So even though we all appreciated it, none of us could enjoy it the way we wanted to.

As depressing as the service crisis was, there were other problems as well. We have nothing interesting to do to pass our time. Somehow the maid’s leaving took all the fun out of our lives. I realize how desperate that sounds, but it is the undeniable truth.

“5 more days to go…” I have been repeating that for the last hour, sitting around in the living room. Taiyo is all eyes on “something” on his computer, which I wouldn’t watch. Hiraki is reading what seems to be a very old cook book he found lying somewhere in the kitchen. If we are eating something written in that thing tonight, then I’d rather starve. Shiroi is… well, being as truth to himself as he can. He’s trying to paint and decorate his seat in the dining table over there, as pink as possible, if some of you were wondering.

“Oh get over yourself. You need a hobby man. Being ridiculously rich and self-employed is one thing, but don’t you think you’re taking your boredom problem a little far? I mean, you know, all of us here have something we’d like to do.” Taiyo starts to lecture about the interests in life.

Honestly speaking, I did have hobbies before. Many, actually, were fun and exciting. Playing games, writing novels, reading books and researching are a few of those many activities I used to do. But ever since my breakup, things around me have been… slow. If it weren’t for the maids understanding and always trying to keep my spirits up; I would’ve had seizures by now.

“Alright that’s it! Hiraki, please just put the cook book away, actually, just burn it! We are going out to get something decent to eat tonight! And by tonight, I mean we’ll go now!”

“Dude, it’s rofl 5 in the afternoon, and I got a lot of things to download. Can you just hold your hormones for half an hour before we finish?” Taiyo has a solid point, my hormones are acting up, but that’s not important since it’s irrelevant. What is important is that I need to get the hell out of this house for once. I might not recall it very well, but I haven’t done so in 5 months, not counting the time I was arrested.

“No! Pack up, men; we are going, right now!” I don’t give a damn about free-loaders anyways. “My house my say, I’ll drive!”

7. Special Debut

Having driven in my car four miles away for some restaurant called “Le’ Antique’ du Fromage’ “, we finally settled in.

“Are you sure we should be going into a restaurant like this? I could’ve settled for some ramen shop.” Hiraki said. It’s hard to believe some who’ve been cooking for us ungrateful bastards for two days would say that.

“Nah, I figured, after all that we’ve done, we do deserve something nice for a change. Your cooking is one thing Hiraki, but all of us here would rather some well-prepared meals once in a while.” I said that directly, since I know someone like Hiraki wouldn’t mind. Taiyo looks kind of lost. When he’s outside without Aigis these days, he seems lonely.

“What are you looking at?” Lonely might not be the right word, grumpy is.

“Oh nothing. I was just wondering. You look so… blend right now. Usually, going on a special event like this you would’ve dressed up or something.”

“No, that’s just not me. Chikado-chan taught Aigis-chan “proper dressing”, but it just doesn’t suit me man. Aigis-chan always prepared my clothes, so I had nothing to escape into.”

“Is it awkward having an android maid in your room all the time all week like that?” Shiroi seems to be questioning Taiyo’s attitude. “I mean having your fetish satisfied is nothing that can be overdone, I know that very well. However, it must feel…strange at least. But I don’t think you seem to be affected by this change in living habits at all, how is that?”

“I don’t know.”

“Do you…instantly get used to it?”

“I don’t know.”

“Trying to make fun of me?”

“I don’t know.”

“Ok you two just keep quiet!” I’ve had enough of this never ending conversation. To be honest, I don’t know what I was thinking bringing them to a place like this. I should have seen this coming, but I guess I didn’t.

Then again there are a lot of things I didn’t see coming, like what happens next.

“Dude, look, does that guy over there, the one with a bunch of guys in suit, look familiar?” Shiroi caught my attention with that question. I turned around. It was a tall guy, of which I can’t really see his face. Though suited, I can presume he has some special reasons for being here; or at least a special position in the group.

“Excuse me. You look like someone we know.”

That sentence catches his attention as well. He turns around and we immediately recognize who he was.

“Oh it’s you, Iya-kun!” Taiyo is truly surprised, and I can’t blame him.

“Greeting, old friends. It is good to make your acquaintance once again.” He is definitely the person we thought he would, but being classy isn’t necessary, really.

“Dude, I thought you went to England 9 years ago? Why are you back here?” I was a few of those people who knew of his actual plan. He didn’t say anything, but I did not keep it a secret from the rest of the class, he never told me to.

“I did, and I finished my PHD 4 years ago. Now, I am working in a “special field”. He might not look like much, but Iyagarase seems to be a lot more confident now than he was years back. I just hope all that doesn’t go right through his head.

“What kind of “special field”?” Hiraki can’t help but be curious.

“INTERPOL – SFD, Special Foreign Division.”

“Well that’s… great.” It’s not like I even knew what the heck he was talking about anyways.

“Oh you’ll soon find out what’s so great about my job. Now if you excuse me, I have a plan in my hand ready to execute.” That is an unexpected sentence.

Iyagarase simply picked up after himself and left with the rest of his colleagues, whoever they are. We felt strange, but decided just to enjoy our lives and continue eating.

8. Paranormal Activities

We finished the food soon enough, then came the time when we just have to go home. All of us did drink a little, hazy there and there, but
not too buzzed that we can no longer see the road.

Well, we had to go back, just not as peaceful. There was an accident on the road. It blocked us. We got mad and return with that frustration. Then there was another accident on the road. This time we were in that accident.

All and all, it took us a lot longer than I’ve expected to get home, perhaps 45 minutes later. And when we finally got back, none of us were able to enjoy that drive at all. The food was nice and all, but the encounter with Iyagarase really didn’t help. At first we thought it was just some minor annoyance. However, the more we think about it; supposedly all of us disliked him for some reasons. It’s bad to say that about a friend whom you just met again, but it wasn’t comfortable being around him at all.

“That guy looks so effing arrogant.” Bad mouthing aside, Taiyo is right. Iyagarase was a lot surer of himself than he was the last time I met him. However, it seemed whatever “special field” he’s working on in the INTERPOL has gotten over his head. He acted like he is in a different social class, but it didn’t work on us. In the end, wasted efforts turned out the way no one could have guessed.

And that is the least out our worries. No sooner than ten minutes after we just gotten home, Shiroi notices something disturbingly bright.

“Hey, it is normal for things to be this bright, or am I just too drunk?” He speaks with alcoholic ratings of over 1.3. However, he is not hallucinating anything. There are many lights directed into our house.

“What is this? Did our neighbors get bored or something?” Taiyo swipes off the light from his face. At that moment, none of us could’ve been thinking straight.

“I wish that was the case, if only we had any neighbors in the first place.” Hiraki answers to the point of us thinking he is actually sober. “Maybe just some annoying parade or something.”

“A parade without music? I doubt it?”

Looking out the window, I can see dozens of light tubes pointing directly at our house. They are big, monstrous in size. Around them are numerous men dressed in black, all with radio phones ready, about to carry out their orders.

“Listen up Mansion Residents; you are hereby under arrest for violation of international law. We, the INTERPOL, will uphold the process of taken you into unconditional custody! Should you try to retaliate, we will not hold fire!”

“What is the meaning of this?” It wasn’t like something similar had never happened to me before, but I could not help but feel really ill when thinking of having to sort out another misunderstanding. The last time, I had to reach the president’s authority. However this turns out, it will just be a pain in the butt. “On what authority do you besiege my property?”

“We are the international law enforcer, and we have the rights to enforce the law on whoever defies it!”

“Are you trying to divert my attention or something? I asked on whose authority you are here?”

“That is none of your concern!”

“Toying with me aren’t you? Fine, go ahead, see if I’ll cooperate!” Admittedly, the drinks finally get to me. Can’t hold myself back, I shout so hard I almost fell out the window, and regret immediately what I did.

“That’s it! You have until noon tomorrow to surrender, or else we will have to take you by force. You no longer have the rights to remain silence, and if you should let us forcefully take you, you will be in submission of interrogation for enforcer’s incorporative behavior!”

That is when my consciousness got lost somewhere. All the other guys heard what I and some INTERPOL agent were shouting to each other about. The good thing is that we had about more than half a day left. The plan would be to contact Chikado as fast as possible, ask her for a way out of this mess. It should be easy, since she’s easy to contact and was probably well-prepared for something like this. Also the home field advantage means we will not easily loss if it actually come to fighting.

The bad thing was that I couldn’t stay up…

9. Plead for help

“Hello, Rinai speaking, who is it?” I hear Rinai’s voice through the cold metal of the mobile phone. I had just sobered up and felt extremely noxious. If I weren’t on the phone, I would’ve puked by now.

“It’s me, Raito.” I am hardly able to give a straight answer. My head is hurting like crazy, and not many thoughts can come to my mind. “I have to speak to Chikado-chan, it’s urgent.”

Chikado-san, Raito-sama wants to talk to you. He said it’s urgent.” Rinai is obviously calling for the Chikado next to her. I wouldn’t believe it if they told me they hadn’t been all over each other for the last 3 days. But I don’t think they would be tired of it just yet though. A moment later, I heard a loud yawn near the phone. It seems Chikado was next to Rinai at the time.

“Tell him to go away!” Chikado clearly sounds annoyed. I don’t want to get on her bad side either; it’s just that this is such a dire matter that I had no other choice. However, whether Chikado would be willing to help then was out of my knowledge.

“But he said…”

“Screw him, whatever it is; he gave us a week-time honeymoon. There would be no reason for him to bother us right now, that I would give a damn anyways.” Chikado is speaking her mind. As mad as I am, I did promise to not interfere with their get-away paradise ride. Of course I don’t think of things turning out this far, but we couldn’t even handle food properly without them. “No hang up the phone and come here Rinai. You look so gorgeous that I just want to eat you up right now.”

Chikado-san, fawning over my breasts comes later. Don’t be rude and listen to what Raito-sama has to say.” I feel relieved. If it was anyone, it would be Rinai who could convince Chikado. And I’m glad this time she’s on my side, unlike the previous accident with the cosplay video tape.

“Fine, give me the phone, but you owe me extras for this!” Obviously Chikado, no matter how cold and devilish she was, cannot resist the pleading voice and face of her newly wedded wife. I truly am lucky, or so I thought. “Is he already gone?”

Chikado, I-“

“I think he’s gone Rinai!”

Hot blood is getting onto my head. It is obvious that she was pretending I left the phone so she could hang this matter up. She would just expect me to scold her once she gets back and that is it. However, the situation calls for desperate measures.

Chikado, if you don’t calm down and listen to what I have to say, I will tell Rinai you slipped aphrodisiac into her food three times a week!”

That is her dirty little secret that I happened to find out. As expected, Chikado has to pay attention.

Raito-sama… is that you?” Clearly she sounds pissed. It’s like telling me to go burn in hell if I ever let that secret out. But I can no longer turn back.

“I need your help! This concerns your relationship with Rinai and your future as lesbian maids of the Redemutio household.” I practically shout into the phone. It is not like I wanted to though. She forced my hand.

“Yes I’m listening, what is it?” It seems my serious topic did the trick.

“We are in danger! The mansion has been surrounded by INTERPOL agents saying they want to arrest us for international securities! At least patch me up on the information.” I go through the details as fast as possible. It isn’t like I had much time left anyways.

“I see…” Chikado realizes we’re in a pinch now, as she gets her serious tone back. I can vaguely hear her murmuring something. “Alright, I will as soon as possible, how much time do you have?”

“Until noon, meaning midnight for you right now.”

“I see. Please, strengthen your defense and wait for me to get back. I will immediately prepare the chopper and go back as fast as I can.”
Chikado leaves the phone right after, meaning I am not able to tell her the most important flaw in her plan.
She has no money, since my credits had been blocked internationally. Meaning if she were to try and get back, it would depend solely on the speed of the boat they’re in, and also the skills of the driver.

10. Delay tactics

“I see… then can you estimate the time you need?” Chikado called back a few minutes later, saying that she found out I was out of cash. As embarrassing as that sounded, it couldn’t be helped. Now that she had to go back by the boat, she’ll just have to patch us in on the information first.

“About a day, it will take a long time.” Her voice sounds heavy. I can practically see Rinai sitting next to her quivering.
Aigis will drive the boat while I shall constantly contact the local authorities, though I doubt it might work.”

“Are you sure you won’t be better off away?”

“Please Raito-sama, I have to handle this, it’s my fault in the first place.” Chikado seems regretful. Though this might very well be her fault, who am I to judge her prejudice?

“It is just an excuse!”

“Even so, it is because of me being employed there that put all of you in danger.” Hard to believe, but Chikado is speaking very emotionally and responsibly. “You’ve been charged with cooperating with an international criminal.”

“You know you’re better than that. If it’s your part, then you being a part of my family, it is my duty to help you, for better or worse.” I cannot really believe what I am saying. I always thought of myself as a selfish person. I guess now I think a little bit more of myself. “When I hired you I hired you problems to. Now stop sulking and come back home Chikado, we are waiting.”

“Thank you, Raito-sama.”

I put the phone down. I know what the situation is.

Raito, even more and more people are gathering on the outside.” Shiroi reported. I had him on look out to spot any sudden changes. It didn’t take long for him to notice the ridiculously long line of people in front of our gates. All are men, in particular.

“I noticed.”

“Do you think they’re assaulting the house?”

“I believe they will. They want to take over the house by sheer power, meaning there probably won’t be any less brute force.”

“The communication line’s been cut. We are isolated!” Hiraki comes running in after checking the computers. It seemed they’ve already cut off all of our means of calling for help. Chikado’s and my radios are the only things kept useful, since they use international frequency.

“We can’t even call for help now. If only we were able to this wouldn’t have been so bad.”

“What is the plan now?” Taiyo, who is sitting firmly next to me at the time, asked. Apparently he got bored, since I couldn’t find any task for him to do.

“Alright, this is important. Taiyo, you go search Chikado and Rinai’s room, see if you can find any weapons that we can use. Hiraki, I remember there’s a fire hose on the end of the 2nd floor hallway, we can use that. Shiroi, keep a look out. I don’t know if the mob is going to go berserk at any moment.”

“Too late for that.” Shiroi lowers his head. I can hear the charging sound of a thousand bulls at my gate.

Looking outside, it was almost hell. All the local residents of the surrounding areas, male residents, are trying to take down the titanium gate with their bare hands. They are like mindless zombies, trying to overcome an obstacle through brute force. However, they are listening to orders.

“Remember, there is a really hot Russian babe hiding inside the house. Whoever captures her shall have her!”

I actually notice a smirk on the face of that agent. I know it. No way in hell they were going to give up Chikado that easily. However, the deception worked pretty well, since we got a thousand perverts charging at our door steps.

“To hell with this!”

I turn to Hiraki. He knows what I mean. He nods then runs upstairs.

“You want to come? Come here!”

I soon had what I wished for.

Redemutio Mansion - Struggling Empty Re: Redemutio Mansion - Struggling

11. Ticking time bomb
Raito! The gate is broken!”

Of course I know damn it! Let me think first!

Shiroi, close the front door!”

He immediately runs to it. I guess no matter how pathetic we four might look like; we are pretty reliable when it comes to something like this.

“I’ve reinforced the back door. Things should be able to settle down there.” Hiraki comes to give good news. I give a
slight relief breath. If this didn’t work out, we would be losing for sure.

“That’s good. Hiraki, I need to clear the yard! All those people are swarming over our field, and we need to get across of it, any ideas?” Despite having a solution, I don’t have an immediate plan. Everything from now on would be improvised.

“I have a smoke bomb handy. However, it would only cover about 15 to 25 feet. That’s not nearly enough for those people.” Sometimes I’m amazed of what Hiraki might tell me next.

“I see, that’s good enough.”

Raito, I tried to make a break for the out house, but was blocked off.” It is Taiyo coming back. I recall telling him to do something like that, however things just kept on falling out of my mine. “Dude, what do I do now?”

Hiraki, is my fire hose ready?”

“Yes.”

“Make a line of smoke!”

Hiraki and Taiyo get me immediately. They run downstairs while I observe from the above window. It seems Shiroi men the iron door well. Moments later, while the mob is trying to smash the door in, it opens.

“Now!”

I hear Hiraki’s voice. At that moment, a stream of smoke comes flashing out, overflowing the yard in a line. It is foggy enough to make untrained people want to get away from it. Taiyo takes the chance and dashes out, making his way towards Chikado and Rinai’s room near the front gate. Before the men in the yard notice him, he had already disappeared out of sight and into the room. Shiroi once again closes the door, fortifying our defense.

“Why don’t you just give up already? We outnumber you three hundreds to one! No matter how stupid you are you should at least be able to grasp the situation that you cannot win. It would be better for both of us if you surrender right now!” One of the agents calls out to me through a bullhorn. I know what he means.

He is just running out of patience, and had no means of breaking through the door just yet. Why else would he make compromise? I can see myself smirking.

“This is a free country! We are not bound by any rules, not even by international laws. We separated ourselves to reach true liberation. As a citizen of this free country, I shall not let myself be bound by trivial matters!”

“You call these trivial matters? I…hey, don’t you dare!”

But I did.

His bullhorn got blown away in one shot. Though I don’t want to seriously injure anyone, it wouldn’t hurt if I scare them a little. It seems my message got through. The agents start to retreat back into their cars. The male locals on the yard hear the gun noises and are afraid. They start running away cowardly. Since this country is a bit too free, they are truly afraid of being caught inside the crossfire. All of this would make a good turn to my favor.

As soon as they all left, I see Taiyo dashes back with a bag probably full of equipment. Shiroi let him in. Afterwards, the other three come to my floor.

“Alright, I found a good supply of ammunitions, and some freakishly complicated weapons I’ve never seen before inside there.”

Taiyo unpacks the bags. He is telling the truth. There are pistols, machine guns, shotguns, a bazooka, which I won’t be using except against a tank, a handful of grenades, countless bullet packs and something that looks like an unarmored rocket cannon.

12. Battle stations

“This is our final hours before the noon deadline. I don’t think Chikado-chan and Aigis-chan are going to be coming home anytime soon, so we’ll just have to make do with what we have here.”

Having said that, we have plenty so I’m not that worried. Our defenses were greatly strengthened now that the main gate out on the field had been re-structured and reinforced. We also had loads of weapons. However, the thing was, we are only 4 people. Out there are probably agents numbering over three hundreds, just waiting for the time to come and take us, dead or alive. Also, to avoid later ruckus, we had to try and avoid damage to both parties, meaning to hold out until Chikado-chan gets back so we can think of something better.

“This sure would be fun though.” Taiyo is never the guy who is afraid to admit anything. I do suppose that annoyed me sometimes, but it is fine it he just wanted to hurt random people.

“Same as me dude.” If you asked me, Hiraki was always an anti-hero kind of character. Choosing to save one rather than many would be so like him. Though his level of sanity is questionable, he has never seized to surprise people.

I definitely don’t need to give these guys any more motivation. As far as moderation goes, they could kill for all I care. In the end, we could never try and minimize the damage when we ourselves are killed. If that were to happen it would be better to just give up right now.

“How much time do we have left?” Shiroi asks. I stare at my wrist watch. The night had already passed without any more surprise attack from the enemy. It seems they were confident enough to not call for reinforcements, since the number of agents around the mansion didn’t increase. Maybe they are sleeping. Maybe it’s a trap. We don’t know, but no way in hell are we going out there right now.

“About 7 hours.” I finally reply. I don’t know why, but my head felt very heavy all of a sudden. Something about this just doesn’t seem right. “Taiyo, double check our defense system would you?”

He leaves as soon as I ordered. I guess I do kinda have the authority in this house after all.

Hiraki, connect the fire hose to the sewer system, we are going to need a hydro pressure cannon, and a stinky one at that.”

“Roger.”

Shiroi, you know what I want of you, go and men the outpost, alert us if anything happens that we should know about.
Everyone leave for their orders. I leave for mine. Going up to the 3rd floor, I approached the hidden compartment within the walls. No one knows this space existed except for me. I insert the command function defense override, and before I know it the house had been transformed into a fortress. The four columns on the edges have been covered with reinforced steel and stun shocker. There are many machine gun turrets sticking out at the top. It was a sight for sore eyes. Not even a fly can get in without being shot down.

“It seemed everything is in order.” I said to myself. Now all that’s left is to make shock cannon to disable the enemies. I don’t know why, but for some reasons I still don’t want people shot down and die. But then again, I don’t know whether it is my humane or I just don’t want blood to dirty my yard.

The process of making cannons isn’t really that easy. I am not the one who had to design the system last time, so I would’ve had little experience. Though I must say it feels great crafting a diabolical weapon of mass destruction, which is one way to put it.

“It’s ready.” Hiraki appears at the end of the stairs. I knew he would do a good job. We now, apparently, had an attached hydro pressure cannon, shooting water from under the toilets at our enemies. It might sounds indecent, but it is the best bet we’ve got. Combine that with our stun gun and we have a deadly seizure machine.

“Good.” It’s almost the time. Building the weapons costs a lot more time than I thought it would. Though I’ve been reluctant to fight, it seems we had no hope of coming out unscarred. Taiyo had also reported back with everything in order, when I called for Shiroi. Minutes later, only half an hour before the deadline expired, we can do nothing but wait.

“This is going to be our do-or-die fight boys, make it count, make it as little bloody as possible, meaning prioritize your stun guns, and make it epic!”

13. Endless wavering

“It’s time, stand your grounds men, they are coming!”

I said that as soon as the watch on my wrist started ringing. No doubt what lies ahead is not easy, but it is not our choice whether we would do it or not. Our hands were forced by whoever’s causing this.

Sure enough, I can see about five INTERPOL agents approaching the reinforced steel gate to the main yard. It was secured by Shiroi, but we are no confident it could have held off anything much anyways. The ticking bomb sound flings into my head, and I know this was the time.

Hiraki, fire the E.M.D!”

The E.M.D, also known as the Electro Magnetic Disruptor, was an anti-machine weapon, which Chikado was developing based on the shell of the EMP bombs. Admittedly it was never field tested, that is why this would be the perfect time to put it into a trial, under uncontrolled circumstances.

Hiraki shoots the magnetic blast directly at the gate. It is nothing more than a mere *whoosh* to a commoner’s senses though. Even us; knowing how it worked, can only see a faint flash of light. However, it is enough. It seems as the time bomb on the gate was supposed to be placed to blow up when the agents were safe and secured. However, the E.M.D short-circuited the fuse immediately, blew it up right in front of their faces. Their goal, which was to destroy the gate, has been completed, but all the agents within the 20 meters radius was hit with a big shockwave, causing blood rupture.

It seems the rest are surely pissed. Without a regard for recon, they immediately charge into the yard with guns in their hands and radio communicators in their ears. Regrettably, I really did underestimate the training of these INTERPOL agents. They do not panic as easily as I thought they would. Not only that, had I not noticed a faint spark from my bracelet, my head would’ve been blown to bits by a sniper.

It was a lucky dodge, but nonetheless now that the sniper’s position has been compromised I can flee the targeted scene and further into the house. As instructed, Hiraki left the backdoor open while Shiroi kept the front shut. Predictable enough, the enemies go for the backdoor. They enter in a flash, which would’ve been extremely effective if we hadn’t expected them.

Taiyo kicks down the bathroom door as to make a grand entrance, and shoots down all of them with a fire hose. He himself is standing on top of the toilet, isolating himself from the wetness. Hiraki throws a small shock grenade from the top of the stairs onto the ground, instantly immobilizing the enemy and knocking them out cold.

As the front squad has been defeated, the middle and the back-up squad are released. The mansion’s surveillance system clearly shows many snipers waiting at the woods behind the backdoor, waiting for some of us to come out and run away. However, since we already knew this, we would just turn it into our advantage. While the middle squad is busy covering themselves and planting a minor bomb on the front door, I appear at the backdoor. Numerous bullets hit my body, or at least what they thought was my body. I never guessed why, but Chikado had a ballistic doll made just like me. Now it did its job splendidly. Having to reload, the snipers cannot react to Shiroi’s rocket launcher firing a direct hit at the base of the tree which they are standing on. He no longer needs to guard to front gate, since the bomb would blow it away anyways. The bad news was we got only 1 rocket to launch, luckily it didn’t miss.

48 agents decimated. I overheard the other ones quietly preparing for the next attack. Well if I have been a bit more careful I would’ve known they had a lot more, which was what we saw next, right after the front door was blown away.

“Damn, more of them are coming!” Shiroi said, taking cover between the kitchen tables. Hiraki is up the stairs and Taiyo is still inside the bathroom, wearing leather boots and walking around freely.

“I know. Use the flamethrower Shiroi, diverse their attention towards the kitchen while Taiyo makes a run for it to the 2nd floor. We are backing off! As soon as he’s out of gas, Hiraki, you cover him with a smoke line. Shiroi, there should be a spare gas mask inside the food cabinet, take it when the bomb goes off and get yourself up here.”

“We have to give up the 1st floor?”

“Yes.”

Not a moment too soon, about nine agents swarm inside the building. As planned, a burning line of fire greets them.
Taiyo quickly proceeds to the 2nd floor without any problems. Soon enough, as the flame exhausts, a line of smoke
quickly follows. Since weapons are stocked up, we are able to use them to our heart’s content. I give a sight relief as Shiroi escaped the fog with the gas mask.

14. Closer

As we obtained higher ground, armed with specialized weaponries, the enemies aren’t able to make it any further up until now. With not wanting to hurt anyone, I occasionally order Shiroi to fire some shots downstairs as threats, and it works. None of the agents have been trying to break through just yet. As observed from the bullet-proof window, we can see sniper rifles pointing into our floor with impressive precision. One false move, we are dead.

“This is not good.” Hiraki reluctantly admits. This might not be the first time we’ve gotten into this kind of deadly situations, but we’re mentally stressed out because of the lack of top physical condition and the fact that we are clearly outnumbered. All but me exhausted. All the while I was in the command room, straining my brain trying to find a weak spot. Even if I don’t like the idea, sooner or later they were going to break through. Even as we rest they are already calling for backup, probably some grenades or something. If they do somehow manage to cut off all help from outside, we would have no choice but to look for an alternate solution, namely leaving the mansion behind and find Chikado before she reaches.

“Pull yourself together man, we haven’t yet lost.” Taiyo said encouragingly, with his paralyzing shotgun over his shoulder.

In the end, finding an opening to escape is not possible. More and more of our hidden cameras we scattered throughout the yard and the surrounding forest were found and destroyed. The longer this goes on, the more we’ll be in the dark. One of our surveillance’s last shot was of a moving truck. We couldn’t guess what was inside, but it probably was more soldiers or some kind of weapon. All the more reasons we can no longer stay here.

“We have about 2 hours to spare, until this place would surely be structurally damaged beyond the point of holding it together. Then we would have to flee to an unexpected escape route if we were to want to get away successfully. If Chikado didn’t make it back until then, we run.” I said. My words don’t help the situation at all, though I couldn’t bear not letting them know the ugly truth. “How long will our defenses last if they were to bring… a tank or something?”

“I hope they wouldn’t. But if it were to happen, at best our grenade launcher, with 2 precise shots, can take out that many. However, since our shock cannons would be useless, I doubt we would be able to hold on to this place anymore.” Hiraki reports the situation. I sent him to go around now and then, checking the pace of thing’s development. It is under control until now, but I don’t know how much longer it was going to last.

That thought ended with a bang. About 10 feet from us, the wall has been blown to bits. Luckily our positions are still unknown, or else we would’ve been pulverized. Taking a quick glance out the windows, I see 2 tanks approaching!

“They brought out the big guns!” I said, moving backward along with the others. “Hiraki, grab the grenade launcher, we’re retreating to the 3rd floor!”

We run somewhat helplessly towards the upper part of the building. The only good thing is that now that tanks were brought in, there can be no one following us from the below floors, unless they wanted to die by shrapnel anyways. The 3rd floor is where the command room is located, and only it had bullet-proof glass windows. Since it was built within the wall in secret, it would be an outpost by itself. From it, the yard and the tanks are completely visible. It will take some time for the tanks to be able to fire again, so we had to do this.

Hiraki, ready the weapon. It fires at a much faster rate than those tanks. Should you ever hear them fired again, recoil immediately. If you were able to get two successful shots off, we’re good for another hour. If you don’t, then we retreat to the 4th floor!”

The bad thing is this house only had so much as 4 floors and a rooftop.

Another loud *bang*, we know it was our queue. I deactivate the blast screen with haste and Hiraki pulls off the trigger with all his might, releasing a spinning grenade right at one of the tanks. It explodes right where we wanted it to. However, we are outsmarted this time.

Despite that tank was the one that shot us, there is only one protected person inside. They are waiting for us to take it out so they can return fire with the other one, having discovered our hiding spot. Before we know it, the command room is destroyed when we just got out.

Pulling back to the 4th floor, I cannot do anything much but to run while staring at that mechanical beast slowly moving its target towards us.

And then it opens up slowly. The staircase is connected to the hall, so you could still see through the windows. From inside the remaining tank, comes a familiar black-haired skinny person.

15. Unexpected

“Seiteki Iyagarase!” Shiroi cursed through his teeth as we took cover inside my storage room on the 4th floor.

“It wasn’t like we never thought of it as a possibility.” I sighed and said. “Perhaps we were just too caught up with ourselves to be able to consider this plausible.” But now it seems like it, Iyagarase or Iya-kun as we used to call him is the leading man behind whole operation, and who would’ve known.

Our conversation soon ends after that. Another *bang* and we find ourselves without a place to escape through. As they’ve been planning all along, numerous agents swarm the staircase and surround us.

But perhaps they didn’t want to kill us right away. Instead they are just standing there perfectly still, only doing their goal to seize us. I cluck my teeth and sigh. We knew this was going to happen soon enough, but how soon was outside of my calculation.

We stood still for another minute, until finally that skinny figure appeared in front of us. He looks as classy as the last time we met, though that is really our problem now. I can practically feel Taiyo’s killing intend when the guy appeared.

“Greetings old friends, I know we had a lot to catch up to, so I’ll be taking the talk from here.” Iyagarase approaches me and smirks. Seemingly he has this under control, so he isn’t even afraid of my shocker pointing towards him. “Surely you’ve known that since this is a free country, you tried to kill my troops I’m allowed to kill you! But put all that aside and settle this like men.”

“I see, find a man and we’ll talk.” Shiroi does his best to make fun of him, but all he really does was just glared back.

“As you know, you are currently sheltering an internationally wanted criminal name Chikado Putina.” Even though I knew this from the beginning, I couldn’t help to think it was somewhat my fault that we ended up like this. Iyagarase might have mistaken that reaction as a sign of regret. “Obviously, it is against international law and we, as the law enforcers, have the right to enforce. Since our objective here is her, we would not need this unnecessary quarrel with you, old friends. Due to you’ve been avoiding to deal fatal damage to my men I’ll give you a choice. I already searched the area and found no trace of Chikado-san’s whereabouts. That’s why I must kindly ask you to give us her location then we will let you go of course.”

“Are you telling me to betray her trust?” I, though was not really restrained, manage to hold back my urge to punch the guy in the face. However, it isn’t like I am going to make it anyways. If I were to try, my body would’ve been punctured with bullets by now.

“Trust? Betray? Don’t kid me. You’ve only known her for 3 months, as employers and employees. Or are you saying there’s more than that?” He tries to tease me. However, I am not someone who’d fall for that trick. He’s just trying to make me spill something on her, but I wouldn’t. Well, even if I wanted to, I didn’t even know where Chikado was.

“No… and I won’t tell you. Why would I let you hurt her?”

“Hurt her? Hardly!” This is something none of the people present except for Iyagarase himself would expect. “I have no intention of turning her in to the Russian secret associations. Wouldn’t it be better if I reported she was “killed in action”? Then I can have this gorgeous maid spy all to myself, fulfilling all my desires.”

This truly, we didn’t expect. Even the agents around us are starting to show signs of hesitation. It is hard to believe they came here hunting for a female international criminal who their boss just wanted to make her to a girl plaything.

“Why would she ever do that for you?”

“Because I have you, her precious employer. From what I’ve learned, you have some quarrels in the past, but that fact that she never left means either you hold something dear to her or you yourself is important.”

“I see you think so, but we never mattered to her anyways.” I almost laughed at Iyagarase’s dumbfounded reaction. I would expect as much. “The only reason she’ still around is because of the payment, and her wife.”

“Wife? She’s a… lesbian?”

“Damn right I am!” Iyagarase feels his body flying through the air and landed roughly on the floor. Chikado restores her stance and pulls the four of us back. The agents are shocked but then reacted, immediately fire at her. However, Aigis got in the way of those bullets, coming out unharmed, knocking down all those agents who were on the same floor.

16. Never Give Up

“Can you cut it a little bit closer next time?” Though he complains, I know Taiyo is just as glad as I am to see Chikado and Aigis again. Rinai was dropped into the room corner earlier, now trying to help us up.

“My apologies Taiyo-sama. I have trouble driving on water.” Aigis is just as calm as always. Having completed her momentary task, she resumes to being a maid bowing down to Taiyo.

“It’s alright. We are saved anyways.” Hiraki is the last one to get away from the cold floor. He looks a bit beaten up, but it is just dust. Amazingly, after nearly 12 hours of continuous battle, till midnight, we come out almost in perfect health condition.

“Alright Iya-kun, what do you want to pull now?” I approach him with a pistol pointing at his forehead. “Now that your life is in our hands, would it be too much if I were to ask you to make a contract to leave and never return?”

“Quite the contrary, you are the ones who should be begging to me right now.” Despite being the man who is still crawling on the floor, he did make me be careful. “You see, now that Chikado’s here, she can no longer escape by herself. I don’t care who the other ones are, from what I’ve seen I doubt she’d be able to leave you here. Even this is within my plan Raito.”
I realize immediately he was right. Even now that we’re temporary safe, it would only last so much. We’re still surrounded with no means of escaping. The only difference is that now Chikado, Rinai and Aigis are trapped with us too. I don’t know how much of a robot Aigis is, but it would be impossible for her and Chikado to protect everyone else from the wall of bullets waiting for us outside. I look to my right to see Chikado titling her head as well. Seemingly she’s also realized the situation. Biting her lips, she looks back desperately and Rinai, focused like she is in a daze.

“Then… what are you proposing.” I have no choice but to back down at this situation. It wouldn’t matter if we had Iyagarase as a hostage. The INTERPOL agents are trained for that too. They’d try every attempt and slip him through our grasps. Even if they couldn’t do it, he would just be sacrificed to kill us “international terrorists.”

“I see you’ve come to your senses. Then this would be simple.” Iyagarase is finally able to get up properly. Despite the killing intent lingering around the room, I had to respect him to not weep and cry for mommy at a surrounded situation like this. “All I need is for Chikado-san to come back with me. Then I’ll gladly leave all of you alone, forever. However, should you not listen to my request; I myself cannot be held responsible if you all die wastefully.”

“So you’re saying by me sacrificing my freedom to you, you shall leave everyone else alone?” Even Chikado has to consider that an option. Right now, things are pretty desperate. Though her feelings for Rinai might be overwhelming, her sense of duty comes first.

Chikado-san, you can’t really be considering this, can you?” Rinai runs to her. I knew her saying that would just make Chikado harder to make a decision. However, unknown to herself, her appearance would just make things worst.

“Wait, I changed my mind.” Iyagarase has yet another unexpected sentence. “I want her too! You are Chikado-san’s wife right? There’s no need to separate you two.”

“You bastard! If you ever lay a finger on my wife then…”

“Then what? Chikado-san, I suggest you reconsider your situation here. The only reason you and your wife are still living is because I still allow it. If you want to reject me, I shall have you watch her die!”
Truly he had all of us under a tight rope. His forces outmatch us. We have two options. Both Rinai and Chikado agree to sacrifice themselves for us and we walk, or all of us would die here. It might not be such a difficult decision when other people think about it, but having the love of their lives handed to someone else just want the maids to kill themselves.

“I… agree to your terms.” Rinai is the first one who said it, almost so decisively. Even though she didn’t like it at first, she has finally grasped the danger we are in, and wished to bring herself down to the enemy’s demands.

Rinai…” Chikado calls out to her, but stops. She is only hesitating because of Rinai’s well-being, but then there is no longer a need for that. “Very well, I accept your verbal contract as well.”

“Splendid.” He hands over a recording of the last conversation. In this country, a verbal contract is as good as any other proof. He gives us the contract that had solidified.

17. Taken

In the middle of the night is when people least expect others to bother them. Usually, this is also the time where most people would be sound asleep, but not in this house, no.

My name is Chikado, Chikado Putina to be exact. I’m 24. After years of hard work and dedication, I was kicked off the Russian’s secret association. More like “hunted” than kicked off, they’ve been trying to track me down ever since. A few months later, I found a job at a mansion, as a maid. Though I’ve never did any housework of any kind and the criteria was also that I had to be a lesbian, I applied anyways. You could say I was desperate. Luckily, I got the job.

Strange enough, the mansion belongs to a man named Raito Redemutio. I find that name funny to be honest, but never talked about it. He, or rather his ex girlfriend Mona, hired me and another girl named Rinai Hokura to be his maids, taking care of the mansion while she’s gone. Coming as a secret agent, I have no worries of being taken advantage of by my so-called “master”, but I grew to discover that he’s not that kind of man at all.

And the strange thing was, ever since I met Rinai, I realized that I was a true lesbian, and a sadistic one at that. At first, I found my co-worker quite attractive, and surprisingly soon I found myself sleeping with her. Now this might sound bold, but we do it in the kitchen every night. I know sometimes Raito-sama had noticed that, but for some reasons thinking there’s someone watching us made me even more turned on.

My life would go on like that, having not much to do everyday since I couldn’t do housework, drowning in lust every night, having a ridiculous pay check every month. I, as a wanted spy, would take that as “happiness”.

But I can never rest easy knowing that there were still assassins after me, searching for me everyday. If they do find me, I would easily escape, but Rinai-chan and even Raito-sama wouldn’t. That’s why I occupy myself with making weapons and taking defensive measures around the area everyday.

Soon enough, I got married to Rinai, though it was only in front of the house residents, it was enough. I swore to always protect her. She knew of my past and did not judge me, so I was delighted. But she when she married me, meaning she married all my problems as well. She would be hunted to, if our marriage ever got out. But in the end it didn’t, and I thought I was safe.
I was wrong.

Then, even though I’m still hand-in-hand with my beloved wife, we, in the middle of the night, were walking away from our home filled with memories which soon will become distant. We will be made servants; forever bound our lives to this tyrant named Iyagarase, just for the sake of saving Raito-sama and his friends in the mansion. Worth it or not, I just know both Rinai-chan and I made that decision out of our own wills.

“Don’t worry Chikado-san; I know we’ll be fine.” Rinai tries to cheer me up. Even though her lips are smiling, I can clearly see that sadness in her eyes. I can’t blame her. Everything is suddenly coming at me so fast that I can’t handle it anymore. I hold her hand even tighter, as if squeezing my apologies through her sweating palm. I can feel her warmth escaping into me, as if saying it was the right decision.

But how could I say that? When we walk, about five dozens INTERPOL agents were surrounding us. Our hands were cuffed together. And there is a perverted man lusting over us, walking calmly behind.

It is not long until we arrived at the INTERPOL’s international headquarter located in London, through helicopters. Iyagarase rushes us to his office. We can do nothing to fight back, only cursing our existence following him. Once inside, he takes out two maid outfits, giving it to us, telling us to wear it.

“Put these on.” He said it coldly, without remarks. “Once you’re done, you’re free to take off your handcuffs when I tell my men to leave the room.”

It seems he was observant after all. I was holding a lock pick all this time, just waiting for an opening to free myself and Rinai to escape. However, the opportunity hadn’t arrived when I was already told to open it myself. I reluctantly put on the outfit, in private with Rinai of course. Being in front of his agents, Iyagarase cannot show his lust just yet. I and my wife have finished changing, when we heard him calling for us.

“I see you’ve already taken off you cuffs. But it might’ve been careless of you to listen to everything I say.” He seems confident. Is there something mischievous in this outfits that we didn’t realize? “Leave, I want to be alone with them.”

As soon as the room’s been cleared out, I took my stance. Freed from restrain, I quickly approached him, but an electric current runs through my body as soon as I moved. I was paralyzed. I could only see him smirking and Rinai clutching on the ground, then…

18. Desperate Cooperation

“We lost!” Taiyo screams and smashes his hand into the table. About fifteen meters apart from him, Aigis is busy repairing the broken house columns. “I can’t believe it! We did all we could and this is what happens?”

“Calm down Taiyo, we couldn’t do anything in this situation unless we think it thoroughly.” Hiraki is sitting on a wooden chair. When the cannonball hit the 3rd floor, his room suffered the most damage, so he had to stay out for a while.

“At least we know where everyone is.”

“It wouldn’t help if we can’t reach them.” Shiroi said. It’s a thought that’s been escaping my mind until now. I never care how much trouble we were in when we were actually fighting, but now that Chikado and Rinai are gone, I find it a lot harder to keep my cool.

“We need a plan, if we want to rescue them.” I finally spoke. I’ve been speechless in a while. It’s already 5 hours since they left. I couldn’t sleep at all, while the others barely catch up on their physical exhaustion. I know I must do something, but this is one of the largest problems I ever had to deal with.

“If we were to do that, we’d need an army!” Taiyo said that ironically, and it simply hit me.

“An army! That’s it!”

I can never recall our connections being that vast before, but it’s all coming back to me now. Hiraki’s a German ambassador and secretly their general of defense. He can operate the military force at will. I told him that, and he immediately nodded. That’s the first phase already good to go.

“Are you seriously trying to fight those head on Taiyo? I mean the German army is one thing, but I don’t think it’ll be good enough.” Shiroi seemed troubled. I was as well. I know fully well that even though our country doesn’t have to apply to international law, Germany did. So the best bet would be…

“We need a front army from our country!” I thought I am crazy myself at the time screaming like an idiot, but it didn’t matter. The answer is right in front of me all this time and I didn’t realize until now…

“So that’s it, would you help us?” I finish explaining everything I could; all that’s left is to wait for his reply.

“Very well, I shall help you as a frontal attack force. As long as we have the Germans as backup I’m fine with your plan.” Sitting comfortably in front of me was Kyouiku Ayen. He once put me in jail for indecent behaviors towards my employees. However, we proved him wrong and put him into jail instead. But as respected and well-known as he was, no prison could’ve held him for long. He was freed in half a week’s time, but hasn’t tried to frame me again until now.

“May I ask , why are you so comfortable with helping us?” Taiyo knows Kyouiku was suspicious, but I trust him completely. I know we had our ideals crossed in the past, but I do believe he had seen the error of his ways. “Wasn’t you the one that tried to put him in jail last time?”

“That might be, but this is a completely different matter. I’ve already given up on correcting you, since you all are contaminated beyond help.” Kyouiku is doubled as a sexual education expert, teaching young students how to properly develop a good relationship based on mutual trust and all that hypocrisy. However, he also was an extremist, absolutely denying all indecent acts outside the bed room and didn’t think good of homosexuals either, that was why we had our disagreement in the past. “I’m helping you now because I want to bring down Iyagarase. He is tainted and not fit to be in such a reviewed position as the INTERPOL’s foreign affairs department.”

“I see, you are doing this for Great Britain?”

“I must admit, even though I was born and raised here, Great Britain was what captured my eyes.”
That seals the deal. With Kyouiku as the English’s inside, along with the control over the army of the nation, it would not be so hopeless trying to take down the INTERPOL’s grasps now. However, the priority would be doing this fast on without being overconfident. Only half a day has passed, but who could’ve guessed what Iyagarase had already put Chikado and Rinai through. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we will be at peace.
At that moment, my cell phone ringed.

“You want to be involved in this too?” I tilt my head in amazement. “Alright, I’ll talk.”

19. Rush

Raito, we are all here, what are your orders?” Hiraki calls me over the radio phone.
Honestly speaking, I would never dream of such a situation. I, with the help of the country’s army, the German’s army and the English special guard, will assault the INTERPOL’s headquarter, one of the deadliest defense forte in the world, to rescue my two lesbian maids, who I married. That in my head sounds weird, but I knew I had to do it, for their sake.

“Are the back route set up tight?” That was my funny way of saying things. Most people never get what I meant, but I guess close friends are… close.

“I’ve already contacted the UNICEF, there wouldn’t be a problem if we had to use the army. Meaning we won’t be charged for breaking international peace or something.” Shiroi said. He is always the handy one, specialized in gathering items and information, or at least that’s how he was in our previous war.

“Alright Hiraki, are you ready to go?”

“I am. Though I must say Raito, you made a bold decision wanting to do this. I expected you making some crazy infiltration plan, but nothing of this scale.” Hiraki seems to be admiring my spirits. I guess it is because I’m fighting for what’s important to me, and I’ll take whatever most assuring route.

“You’re always to the point huh? Well I guess that’s good then.” I nod. I’m feeling pretty good at that moment, sitting above a tank, charging through the jungle, staring at the huge fortress-like INTERPOL tower. “Taiyo, how about you? I’m sure you won’t be sitting this out?”

“No way dude. I and Aigis have been preparing for this all day. There would be no reason for us to having to miss out the fun now would we?” Taiyo seems confident enough in himself that it actually motivates my spirit. Next to him is Aigis. I wouldn’t if it was just my eyes, but I swore I saw her smiling hearing he said that. If it were anything, I’ll give the credits to Taiyo, doing the best he could to turn her as close to a normal girl as possible. “Now Aigis, are you ready?”

“Yes, Taiyo-sama.” This time, I’m sure she smiled. I think Taiyo noticed it too, since his expression froze for a moment before turning to a satisfying smile.

“And how about you, Mr. I-Can’t-Get-By-With-My-Life?”

“I’m ready as I’ll ever be.” Kyouiku answered. He doesn’t seem to bother with my mocking at all. I could rest assure to be able to trust him completely from now on.

The preparations are complete. It has been 33 hours after Chikado and Rinai’s departure, and now, I’m going to take them back, by force.

“Attention all units, battle stations!” I practically scream into the radio phone. The others looked at me with annoyance, but I wouldn’t change it. “Primary target: INTERPOL International Headquarter. Mission Objective: Bring back Chikado and Rinai, alive! All units, move out! Over and out.”

I toss the communicator away in the guys’ amazement. I pressed charge on my tank, get into the inside chamber and stepped on the acceleration. The large mechanical beast roars in excitement, surging towards the tall skyscraper. As expected, a handful of agents are covering every angle. However, this time, they are no match for an army made of 3 countries! Quickly dispatched of, the INTERPOL sounded their invasion alarm, putting up every means of defense possible. However, they clearly did not predict 7000 soldiers swarming at the door step, blasting the heck out of them. Soon enough they had to evacuate, and that was when I knew what I must do.

I popped a parachute strangled around myself while the others were trying to infiltrate the building. Tangled into the cannonball, I fired it towards the 24th stories building, pulling me with it at 56 miles per hour. Though it was unnecessary dangerous, I cannot risk the chance of them already setting up an escape route for Iyagarase to take the maids.

As soon as I see my reflection tempered with an inside shadow, I shoot a grappling hook into that room, pulling myself inward. The person or people inside seemed very surprised, avoiding that hook as I stumbled inside. As soon as I am in, I find myself having 2 guns pointed to my heads. Seemingly I’ve landed inside the storage or something. I rolled over to duck the upcoming shots and hid myself behind the various items stacked to piles. I’ve seen things being broken so that bullets could get me, but it didn’t work. I don’t know whether they were that bad shooters or am I just ridiculously lucky that day. Whatever it is, I almost always directly see them through the stacked cabinets. I pushed it over, as the two agents almost got crushed under the pressure. I quickly swipe their guns and look at the time.
My watch says it is 6 a.m. even though it’s 9. “Down.” I whispered to myself.

Redemutio Mansion - Struggling Empty Re: Redemutio Mansion - Struggling

20. To the bitter end
“What is going on out there Chikado-san?” I hear Rinai-chan’s voice through my aching ears. I can’t believe she still has the energy to ask that. Whatever it was, there would be no way are going to get out anyways. Those maid suits that Iya-sam… no, Iyagarase made us wear are practically rendering our own physical bodies useless. I open my eyes reluctantly to see Rinai-chan next to me, sweating and worrying. I shake my head as if saying “I don’t know.”

It has only been what of 30 or so hours since we were brought here, but I already had no strength left. It was foolish of me to think these maid suits were harmless. I thought he would challenge me in a duel or something, but instead it was this thing that controlled me and Rinai, dedicated to his lust. Last night I put up quite a fight mentally, but in the end he beat me down to blood and tears. Right now my body is still hurting, the only good thing is Rinai was uninjured and still hasn’t been touched just yet.

“Damn them, they actually come this far!” I heard Iyagarase’s voice somewhere near, panicking, but I didn’t bother. Then there are sounds of agents being dispatched somewhere, I don’t care either. It had to have taken me at least 15 minutes to open up my eyes fully and grasped the situation. Sure enough, I am extremely surprised. Seeing him panic was one thing, but it seems that the whole building was put into battle stations. A clear possibility passed my mind, of Raito-sama and the others coming to rescue us. However, I almost laughed at that idea, since there would be no way he and his friends, no matter how battle experienced they are, could outsmart the INTERPOL and sneak in here. Especially now that they aren’t even sneaky, and Iyagarase is guarding our every move, it was even more impractical. I am too tired to move anyways, my body is hurting everywhere. I recall him saying something about being trapped working under a sewer for 6 years. It was all blank after that, until just now that I got my senses back.

“Mayday, mayday, we have a breach on the 24th floor. Repeat, we have a security breach on the 24th floor. All available agents bring down the intruder.”

That was what the radio phone said. I couldn’t believe it, how much men did they gather to make it this far? My hopes do go up a little bit.
Chikado-san, I’m sure it’s Raito-sama coming to help us.” Rinai said with delight. I notice her faint red eyes, wet and sulky, probably from crying all day for seeing me in this condition. I know I don’t want to make her cry anymore, that’s why I have to encourage her.

“I think you’re right Rinai, he’s coming.” I am starting to believe it myself. Though the intruder, whoever it is, didn’t make it here just yet, but the big battle outside have been drawing closer. That would most likely meant the INTERPOL are being pushed back.

“Don’t count your cards just yet, I haven’t lost yet.” Iyagarase violently pulls my head up by my hair. Though conscious, I can’t gather the strength in me to protest. It hurts, but that’s fine. I experienced pain before, and this does not even come close. No, even with my body severely violated and drawn empty of strength, it would be perfectly fine as long as Rinai was fine. “Now you march out there and tell them to stop this assault, right now.”

I feel the cold metal knife close to my neck.

“Iya-sama, please stop, don’t hurt Chikado-san anymore!” Rinai is begging him to let me go. She is being naïve as usual. Why would someone in this kind of a situation would gladly give up a hostage right that.

*Slap*

“Shut up bitch, just stay there or else I’ll beat the shit out of you.”

I saw what he did. I saw him, he who dared to slap my beloved Rinai-chan and insulted her. “Now are you going to do it or I’ll kill you?” His voice echoes through my mind, but I don’t care the slightest bit. Perhaps he thinks I fainted, I feel a large electrical current running through my body, jolting me up. It is painful. It is extremely painful. But I don’t care what happens to me. This shock suit has put me into submission before. But now I don’t even feel like caring about that.

He hurts Rinai.

“Hey, are you listening to me?”

He hurts Rinai.

“Damn, you sure are a useless bitch.” He drops me on the floor. “If you won’t do it, maybe your whore of a wife will. That’s all the slut is good for anyways.”

What did he just say?

21. Dire

I ran past a closed hallway, with numerous INTERPOL agents chasing after me. However, as their number kept decreasing, I knew they have to evacuate. Soon enough, when I made it down to the 19th floor, my GPS watch, which Chikado made for me, is acting up. I know we are close enough. Without having lost all the pursuers, I prepare myself to assault into Iyagarase’s office.

“Die!”

I hear a loud scream. It is terrifyingly familiar.

Chikado-chan?”

I hear myself gasping. I ran as fast as I could into the office. All planning out the window, I break into the scene. It is horrifying.
Iyagarase is there, barely standing, with a bloody knife in his hand. His legs are trembling in fear surging through his body. On the floor near him was Rinai, with her hands over her mouth, tear flowing down her eyes. Chikado is a little further down on the floor, lying flat on her chest, blood dripping from her stomach. Before anyone of them notices me, Chikado painfully stands up and charges at Iyagarase. He panics, repeatedly pressing a button in his gauntlet. Every time he did that, I’d hear Chikado moaning in pain, but she doesn’t stop. Her eyes are bloodshot, as if wanting to rip his head off. Knowing this wouldn’t work, he pushes the knife towards her.

I can’t even feel myself thinking. It already happened. I can feel the cold metal digging into my chest.

“Hah”.

I gasp for air. It went in, through my body, reacted a chemical reaction in order to make blood cells. Everything in my body is normal, except for the large external object sticking through my chest.

As if haven’t grasped the situation, Iyagarase releases the knife and jerks backward. He never intended to kill me. He didn’t even know I was there. Strength in my body kept fading, but I can still stay awake, just for a little while longer. I can’t let it end now. I still haven’t kept my promise yet.

The feeling of cold floor hit my legs when I almost collapsed. Rinai is holding me up with her hand, while Chikado is already exhausted, lying on the floor, holding her chest and panting in pain.

Raito-sama…”

“Sorry Chikado-chan, this was all I could’ve done.” I feel like laughing at myself. What is this? I am dying and still trying to act cool? What a hypocrite.

“Ha…ha…hahaha!” Iyagarase’s laughter fills the room. It seemed he has finally lost his mind, to a degree that his sanity could be felt escaping his brain. “This… this is good. Raito’s dead. Chikado-san, Rinai-san, you don’t have a master anymore. I could… I could go back to the mansion and be him. I promise you I’d be a good one. I promise.”

I manage to smirk while listening to his crazy fiction. So despite he is willing to have others kill others, he himself doesn’t have the will to kill. That’s where we were different. I would have no trouble if I were to hurt him right now.

“No… wait, what are you doing?”

I heard his panicked voice, seeing me standing back up, on my feet, having pulled out the cold knife myself. Having almost no knowledge in medication, it is hard for me to determine whether I would die from this kind of wound or not. The only thing I know was it didn’t hit the heart, and I’m still alive and breathing. That is all that mattered.

“No Raito-sama, stop. You’d only worsen your condition!”

Chikado’s voice only sounds like a far cry to me now. As I approach Iyagarase, he jumps at me to attack. However, I have a weapon, he does not. No mattered how well trained he is, I am not the one ready to be beaten. I can’t die just yet. The next thing I know, I walk right past him, who is falling on the ground with his own knife in his stomach. He won’t die from this wound, this much I’m sure. He’d just be bleeding for a while until the others get here and take him to court. But those thoughts pass my mind only for an instant. I only now see the giant window screen in front of me.

I remembered the last time something like this had happened to me. Yes, I do remember. Some time ago, when I was in the middle of a dead or alive war, I did suffer almost the same injury. I made it then, no reason for me to not make it now.

I collapsed, knowing I wouldn’t die.

22. Pain

I walked around the hospital room. Rinai was sitting near me, with all the others residents present, even Kyouiku. A bit tired, I sat down next to Rinai, as both of our attention was on the person in the bed.

My memory of yesterday’s morning was hazy, but I do remember the part when I became enraged and such. Admittedly I was acting stupid. If I hadn’t done that, Iyagarase would’ve just given up when he’s surrounded. And if that ending had been chosen by fate, then Raito-sama wouldn’t have to be lying on the bed right now.

“Are you the patient’s family?” A doctor, who’s been monitoring his condition up until now, asked us.

“No, he lost his family ten years ago.” Taiyo-sama answers. And for some reasons, I never knew of that fact. He wants to say more, but seemingly had to rethink his words. Finally, he squeezed out an obvious lie. “In an accident.”

“I see, then you are his friends.” The doctor asks again, just to make sure.

“Yes, we are.” Rinai and I are silent the whole time while Shiroi-san answered. However, judging from what kind of wound he received, I have little doubt about Raito-sama’s life. The only problem is would the wound create and internal problems.

“Well, your friend’s condition had stabilized, that’s all for now.” The doctor said, seeming delighted to see a non-fatal case once in a while.

“He has no damage to internal organs, and he is no longer in life-threatening situations. Now all you have to look forward to is his’ reawakening. However, I doubt it would be so early. For some reasons he used exerted strength after he was badly injured, that was what keeping him from having an easy time with his heart ever since.”

I vaguely remember that image. Raito-sama, with his own blood, wrote a name on the window before he passed out. I passed out not so long after that, so I couldn’t really grasp the meaning. Of course most of his energy was used to injure Iyagarase, so I guess that’s about it I can hope for.

“Thank you doctor.” Rinai finally speaks. She bows at him, as the medic left the room, leaving only the mansion residents inside.

“Sigh, he sure was a troublesome dude.” Kyouiku faintly said. Though it might have sounded bitter, he is clearly troubled about this. No matter what might have been said before, Kyouiku never intended for anyone to get hurt.
Recalling back on the battle, the INTERPOL was defeated, and had to sign a contract to give up on my case forever, while also paying for the repairs of the mansion. Victory was not celebrated due to Raito-sama’s hospitalization, but at least it is sort of a success. Thinking about what could’ve happened if he were to just give up on Rinai and me, I felt a chills running through my spine.

“I’m sorry Raito-sama.” Rinai leaves the chair and approached him. Holding his hand, she seems like she was about to cry. I must admit, no matter what he will become, he did play a large part in the latter part of my life, giving me shelter and a job, while also introducing me to Rinai. All the good things of my life were given through by him. Even this unnecessary injury he received was my fault as well.

“How long do you think it would take for him to wake up?” Hiraki-san is still calm, but I guess that’s normal. Out of all the original residents, he is the one always sitting behind with his in-a-daze attitude.

“I predict a week.” Shiroi said. I almost had to stop myself from breaking a smile. He is being unreasonable. With an injury like this, it would take at most two days for the patient to wake up, there’s no rush but his prediction is just way off.

“What if he doesn’t?”

That scary thought crossed my mind. No, this is a simple wound so it should heal in no time. There are no reasons to worry. Suddenly, I feel myself filled wit all the questions of “what ifs.”

I hate that.

I leave my chair and went towards Rinai-chan and Raito-sama. I can see Rinai crying. Even though I know perfectly well that he would wake up soon enough, I could not just shake off the bad feeling of “what if he doesn’t?” Suddenly, I feel myself being embraced by Rinai. Her tears wet my suit, but I’d just let her. I pull up her head. Usually, at times like this, I’d kiss her to suppress the fear, which I did. Then usually, he would just scold us.

“You two had to do that now?”

23. Wake

I feel myself lying lazily on the bed. My body is still sore. My chest pain is somewhat gone, but I can still feel it bothering me. Of course, I thought of myself as lucky, having survived such a wound.

Ever since I saw my two maids kissing just the moment I woke up, they’ve been in my mind until now. I never thought of it this way, but I might be… attracted to lesbians more than I am to other girls. Seeing them like that just made me extremely happy. It was not like I wanted to lust over them, it just felt like me wanting to protect them.

Raito-sama, are you awake yet?” Rinai appears at my door step. Obviously I am, it is 10 in the morning already. Normally she would lightly scold me to get downstairs if I’m in the bed this late, but not today. I have returned to the mansion safely, and for the time being, that is good enough for her.

“Yeah, I’m awake. How are you Rinai-chan? Is your body ok?” I ask her. Maybe I am wrong, but did I just see her blush for an instant?

“I’m… I’m fine. Raito-sama, you are the one whose health should be concerned right now, not me.” For some reasons Rinai is speaking all hastily, maybe I hit a nerve or something.

“Well I’m fine, but what’s wrong with you? Why are you so embarrassed?”

“I apologize, Raito-sama, but Chikado-san wanted me to wear this outfit!”

“Outfit?” I didn’t notice at first, but my nose almost bled the moment I realize. When I sat up straight, the sun hit my glasses and reflected an almost see-through maid outfit that Rinai-chan was wearing. I immediately cover my eyes, as if having seen something forbidden.

“I’m sorry Raito-sama, I’ll go change right away!” As if realizing the awkwardness of the situation, Rinai wants to turn away and run. However, she hit somebody. “Kya?”

“Oh where are you going Rinai-chan? I told you to wait for me didn’t you?” It is Chikado, who I recognized through the voice. I haven’t yet open my eyes, but I hope she’s not wearing the same thing as Rinai, planning to squeeze some cash out of me by doing this.

“But… Raito-sama didn’t like it.”

“Of course he does, just look at how red he is!” God bless me she is right. I’m a single man at the age of 26, how can I not be affected by something that powerful? “Come now Raito-sama, at least open your eyes. Rinai went through so much just to have the confident to put this on for you, so at least politely admire her.”
No matter how much my moral screamed, I open my eyes. In front of me, not only Rinai, but Chikado too is wearing that strange transparent maid suit. I can feel my head spinning. I have already passed the point of closing my eyes again.

Raito-sama… please don’t stare at me like that… it’s embarrassing.” Rinai-chan’s cute voice goes right through my head. I shake off the urge, but it is not enough.

“Oh Raito-sama, I bet you wouldn’t be satisfied with just this!” Chikado smirks evilly. I know something devious is going to happen. Am I blessed or cursed right now, I couldn’t even tell.

“Why are you two doing this?” I try to regain my calm, asking her.

“Oh? We are just repaying you Raito-sama. Since you saved us and all, I think me and Rinai would put up a show here just for you.”

“A show?” I don’t like the sound of that one bit. Though I haven’t an idea of what they were going to do, but I do know how hard it must be to handle it.

“Now, shall we get started?”

“Kya!” Chikado violently grabs Rinai’s breast and fondle them from behind. I almost freeze. I know it was wrong, but there is no way I can resist being drawn to watching my two maids having hot lesbian sex right in front of me!

Soon enough Rinai is down on the floor, lying flat, with Chikado’s hand and tongue simply violating every inch of her body. Though they didn’t even take off their outfits, the drenching wetness has made it almost completely transparent. I can see Rinai throbbing every time Chikado licked her body.
That sight is so attractive, if it weren’t for me being their master, keeping distant for so long, I would have lost it too. Maybe I was going too, if I hadn’t felt death.

“So this is what you’ve been doing behind my back.”

24. Punishment

Chills ran down my spine. Even Chikado has to stop now that she heard the voice. Looking up frighteningly, she pulls Rinai towards me, just wanting to get away from that person at the door.

Mona-sama… this is not what it looks like…”

That person at the door is my ex girl friend, Mona. I’ve always thought of her as a tsundere, but seeing her like this makes me wanna invent a new word.

“So… even though I go all the way to hire two lesbian maids for you, you still go around my back huh?”
Her voice spins through my chest like a whirlwind. I feel a bit of guilt, and a whole lot of fear. If I could’ve faced death, I’d rather gamble with him than to face my ex like this. Wait, wasn’t she supposed to be my ex? Ex means stopped dating right…?

Mona-tan, why are you here?” I just felt at a loss for words. I realized I am no longer her boy friend, meaning I have no obligation towards her. Honestly speaking, she was the one who broke up with me. Of course she knows she had nothing to do with me anymore, so why…

“I got you good didn’t I?” I heard her laughing, and my chest was that much lighter. Chikado’s face has softened up and Rinai has stopped burring herself in Chikado’s breasts. “I guess you all are still afraid of me Raito-kun.”

“I see.” Even though I felt used, I was somewhat relieved to not having to face angry Mona. It would be the most regrettable thing in my life if I did. “So all you did was to make fun of us?”

“Why of course! I’ve asked around, I know how you live here. I’m proud of you for not having any indecent acts behind my back.” Suddenly, her face stiffened, as of threatening me. “But you know, this one was really close. You know what’d happen if you have done “that” right?”

“I… I know.” Damn she is pissed off. Even though I still find somewhat of a lingering affection in her words, I guess it can’t be helped. It was none of our faults that we broke up, it was all for her greater good.

“Then why are you here Mona-sama?” Mona was the person who directly hired Chikado and Rinai. Even though she no longer employs them, they would still refer to her as “sama.”

“Drop off trash, I suppose.”

We don’t know what she meant, until I hear some noises from inside a completely unrelated bag behind her. Her gaze is as if to tell me to open it, which I did. To my complete surprise, it is someone we knew all to well.

“Iya-kun?” I gasp in amazement.

“I see you’d still prefer to call him that. Well, I guess he won’t be a threat anymore now that I’m done with him.” Mona smirks, almost a hundred times more evil than Chikado. When I untied the bag fully, Iyagarase’s teary face reaches out of it, seemingly pleading for help. However, his mouth was taped, so he can’t say anything.

“Did you… torture him this bad Mona-sama?” Chikado, who wanted to kill him before, now starts to show some compassion. Anyone who fell in to Mona’s hand like this should be lucky to come out mentally intact.

“I did, a little, though I didn’t enjoy any of it. He was merely a thorn I wanted to prick, so I made a quick and painful adjustment.” Hearing that, I know something terrible must have happened to Iyagarase.

“What did you do to him?”

“I cut off his so-called manhood.” A sense of disgust filled the room. I can almost feel myself vomiting. Iyagarase struggles trying to get out of the bag. Rinai and Chikado are at a lost for words. “Now I have no need for him anymore, you run now.” Mona kicks the bag, turning it over. Iyagarase cowardly crawls out of the back and runs down the stairs. None of the people below bothered to stop him, it seemed Mona had already showed the. “Well, I guess this should be goodbye once again for now. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there at the battle, but I had important political matters. But it was good that Raito-kun called me to inform and marked the building with my name, or else I’d never have gotten hand on the person going against me politically.”

She smirks and left. I am sure she will be going back to her country, the Capital Republic of Vietnam, to finish her job. All the while, none of us are able to say anything.

25. New struggle

“Welcome to the house party people!”

Shiroi screams and goes down onto the dance floor. The yard today is full of entertainment. This party is to celebrate the safe return of Rinai and Chikado, and mourn for the loss of a chance to get a hold of my mansion while I was in a coma.

“Kyouiku, you’re staying here now?” I ask him. We are drinking at the same table, competing cup by cup.

“Oh yeah, this place is sweet!” Having lost his usual cool, Kyouiku has finally loosened up to enjoy the party. I don’t know whether it would be good for his career, but who am I to judge what he wanted to do. “You got a nice house, real live maids, a pool, a yard the size of a football field, what more could I possibly want!”

Immediately, he stands up, throws the beer away and jumps right into the pool. I know it will hurt once he’s sober tomorrow, but what kind of party would it be if it didn’t? From the nearby table, I can see Taiyo trying to get Aigis to drink.

“Do I need organic drinks to operate Taiyo-sama?” She tilts her head in confusion. Of course, it would be strange for an android to drink beer, but who cares. As long as she and Taiyo could enjoy it, what do trivial facts matter?

“Yes you do, now drink up!” I feel like I’ve heard that line from Taiyo before.

Leaving them alone, I see Hiraki by the gate, hanging some posters or something. Mostly it’s about “save the cat”, “protect cat’s habitat” or something. I guess he did have a thing for cats.

“Why are you doing all this?” I ask, as if I needed an answer.

“I like cats.” Simple as that, but to be honest, hearing him saying he liked anything in particular is amazing. He never said such a thing to almost anything else. If he said he liked cats, it must mean “lolilovecats” for others. He seems contended with his work so I left him alone.
Near the dining table is a stack of food and cakes piled up beforehand. It is such a tall stack that I could hardly see anything behind it wait.
Wait.

As I hear strange noises from behind it, I decide to check things out. When I got there, I find Rinai, who is laying on the ground, topless, her chest covered in ice cream. Chikado is happily nuzzling her breasts and licking off the spilled desert. Rinai moans repetitively as Chikado’s tongue slides across her body.
I get away before something else happened.

In the end, within this party, I am once again contained in my lonesome self. But it isn’t bad. Despite being lonely now, I can still look forward to a life of certain happiness. I am still rich. I still have my mansion, my maids and my friends. Though the last part is somewhat regrettable, I don’t think of it as such…

“What are you doing Raito-sama?” I guess things don’t end like that. Behind me, Rinai approaches with her shirt barely lifted up right. It seemed like she is drunk, no longer able to tell her right from her left. She’s now basically falling all over. Looking further away, I notice Chikado lying on the grassy field, looking satisfied with her recent meal. “I’m sorry, do you want to be alone Raito-sama?” Rinai asks apologetically.

“No it’s fine Rinai. If you feel lonely, you could always talk to me.” I said without even considering it. By saying she is lonely; doesn’t that mean the same thing as Chikado-chan not able to satisfy her wife’s desires? I quickly slap that image out of my head and try to somewhat divert the subject. “So Rinai, how is your life lately, now that you’re a married woman?”

“I’m extremely satisfied!” She said, while all red from being drunk. Honestly speaking, she is too drunk the she almost collapsed on the ground. “All my desires have been fulfilled, I don’t even think of myself as anything more than the made of this mansion and Chikado’s wife anymore.”

“That’s my girl!” Chikado seems to have approached her, embraced her tightly from behind. Both of them fall down on the grass, happily hugging each other. I want to say something, but somehow every time I open my mouth to speak, a moan kept getting in the way. When I do look down to check, it seemed like they are already asleep, and Rinai is just moaning of exhaustion.
I leave a blanket I took from their room on them and quietly leave. The other guys have either succumbed to the alcohol or already fallen asleep. I turn off all the electrical equipments. A slight noise makes me look back. Outside the mansion’s gate, a black limousine is leaving. I can almost see a person’s hand waving goodbye inside.
