Lucy is a bit of a diva who takes exceptional pride in her looks and Magic skills. She is very confident in her appearance and sex appeal, often exuding a certain amount of vanity. Despite this superficial attitude, she is genuinely a clever, kind, and caring person. Lucy is passionate for literature and is in the process of writing her own novel about her adventures with Fairy Tail. Aside from her interest in writing and reading prose, she also likes shopping and cooking, assertive men, and her favorite colors are blue and pink. She is a member of the Heartfilia family, once one of the wealthiest and most influential conglomerate families in the country of Fiore. However, due to her estranged relationship with her father and the death of her mother, Layla Heartfilia, she left home to follow her own path.

Lucy is very kind to her Celestial Spirits, and refuses to use them as shields. She fights alongside them, and treats her spirits as people, unlike other Celestial Spirit mages, who views them as mere tools and objects. She will also go to great lengths to give them happiness, even at the cost of her life. Despite technically being an owner of the spirits, she refuses to be addressed as such, and instead prefers to be called their friend.

It is an extending whip which comes from the Celestial Spirit World and it features the constellation of Eridanus, the River. As the name suggests, it is a whip that has the rope section made of water, with stars of different sizes flowing and/or floating around it. The handle section is smoother and has a thin tassel string at the end, which holds up a single small star. The full name of the whip is "River of Stars of the Eridanus Constellation".

While in possession of the key, a Celestial Spirit Mage may be able to summon the Ram Aries by reciting the quote, "Open the Gate of the Ram! Aries!". This summons Aries, a woman dressed in wooly clothing and attacks the opponents with Wool Magic.

While in possession of the key, a Celestial Spirit Mage may be able to summon the Scorpion Scorpio by reciting the quote, "Open the Gate of the Scorpion! Scorpio!". This summons Scorpio, a man with a stinger-shaped gun that can be used to attack with Sand Magic.

Enemies are damaged and blinded because of the sand, causing to miss them on attacks.

Third Skill - Gate of the Water Bearer Key

While in possession of the key, a Celestial Spirit Mage may be able to summon the Water Bearer Aquarius by reciting the quote, "Open the Gate of the Water Bearer! Aquarius!", preferably near a body of water. This summons Aquarius who is able to use her Water Magic to send opponents flying with a gigantic wave.

Summons Aquarius and Aquarius will channel for 1 second then releases a gigantic water wave.
Units that are hit by the wave will be damaged, knocked back and exhausted them.
Hits both allies and enemies. Allies will only take 30% of the damage and the side effects that are inflicted to them will last a half of the duration.

Lucy recites the incantation for 4 seconds.
During the incantation, a barrier will form in the targeted area.
When the barrier was formed, orbs of light from the sky will fall and go in to the barrier.
Units inside the barrier will be trapped inside and they will be disarmed and silenced.
Any attacks made by the units outside the barrier will be deflected.
When the incantation ends, the orbs will explode; causing the enemies to damage them heavily.
Lucy will be invulnerable for 2 seconds but she cannot do anything because of exhaustion.
